I’ve recently been having a problem with Microsoft Outlook 2010 on my work computer with windows 7 that occurred when I started it up in normal mode. It would appear to disappear off the screen and the only way I could get it back was by going to the outlook icon on the task bar and maximizing the program.
I found the solution on a microsoft forum:
There were a couple of suggestions, the first was to go to the system tray, right click on the outlook icon and un-tick the “Hide When Minimized” option. However my computer did not have that option selected. So the next option was to start the registry editor and delete the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Office Explorer 'Frame'=
This solved the problem for me:
After this somebody else suggested right clicking the task bar and selecting cascade windows. This may well work without having to edit the registry. Next time I experience this issue I’ll try this first.
